This hybrid module is a direct replacement for the V3102D (Coolaudio) and MN3102 (Panasonic/Matsushita) BBD clock generator. This module fits into the same 8-pin DIL footprint with the same pin-out and functions as the original V3102D/MN3102. It can be used as a "drop in" replacement to repair vintage equipment, build kits designed for the V3102D/MN3102, replace the V3102D/MN3102 in current production equipment, or it can be used in new designs with 320X type BBD delay chips such as the V3207D, V3205SD, and V3208D. This module matches the function and mechanical footprint of the V3102D and MN3102. and can be used in any circuit designed for the those devices.

This clock generator runs on a single positive supply voltage from 3V to 18V, suitable for use with the 320X series BBD chips which also use a positive supply. It can be used in self-oscillating mode or with an external trigger. In external trigger mode, the duty cycle is fixed at 50% independent of the trigger pulse width. The module also provides a Vgg output voltage (14/15 Vdd) for the BBD supply.
